Hi, I’m a relatively new Obsidian user, but I’ve been using it quite intensively over the last few days during exam season. I’m getting along pretty well, but I have a question about organizing all my PDFs. In the past, I only used Goodnotes, where I would create a folder for each university course and then a subfolder for each lecture containing all the related Word documents, PDFs, etc. However, when I insert a PDF into Obsidian—for example, into my notes for a course—a tab or file is automatically created in the list. Is there a way to organize this more neatly so that I can group my files more clearly with the corresponding courses in a folder?

Quick information about myself

- Mid 20is from Europe

- I already travelled around six months in SEA and one Month in Costa Rica & Mexico in the past

- I love partying and socialising, and my time in SEA was the best in my life, and I hope that SA will somehow be a bit different but also similar in some cases to my experience in SEA

- I plan to only stay in hostels through the whole trip, maybe a few nights in a cheap airbnb if the price is around the same.

My questions would be:

- Normally, im not planning a lot beforehand and just go with the flow, because my plans always changed in the past and i never sticked to one plan, but I think in case of those big countries in SA, I need to have a rough plan to be able to do all the activities and stuff. Is my plan realistic, do i miss something big or am I doing too much?

- I would love to get recommendations for all kind of stuff, especially good and social hostels. Would also really appreciate recommendations for tour companies for my planned activities like the different treks etc.

- How is the demographic of the travellers in SA? Will I find a lot of solo travellers like me around that time in those countries?

- I don´t really know if and where I should spend some time in the amazon rainforest. Is it a good plan to do it in Ecuador or is Bolivia in the area of Rurrenabaque better or should i cut it out completely to safe money on better experiences?

- My budget would be around 5400 € = 6350 $ (= 1800€ / 2100 $ per month) without international flights. Is this budget realistic?
