Before anyone assumes that I’m being toxic, jealous, or trying to spread hate toward Valerie, I want to make my intention clear: that is not what this post is about. I’m not here to attack anyone or encourage negativity. I simply want people to read everything carefully and think critically before forming an opinion.
I’ve been part of the subliminal community for more than three to four years, and I genuinely appreciate the effort sub makers put into their work. They dedicate time and creativity to making content that many of us benefit from. However, as someone who is also part of this community, I believe it’s important to discuss concerns openly when something feels misleading or questionable.
The first issue I noticed relates to a picture she used while discussing her “keyhole lips” subliminal. According to her claim, the image showed her own lips, and she suggested that she developed the keyhole effect unintentionally after listening to her subliminal. This was shared in relation to a paid request.
However, I later came across what appeared to be the exact same image on Pinterest while searching for keyhole lip inspiration. I recognized it immediately because I had personally saved that image in my mind, I was trying to manifest similar lips and had looked at it many times over the past year. That is why it stood out to me so clearly.
I’m not making accusations without room for explanation. It’s entirely possible that she originally posted the image herself on Pinterest or had another legitimate connection to it. If that is the case, then I’m open to being corrected. My intention is only to point out something that felt inconsistent to me.
The second concern I have is about the extremely exaggerated affirmation counts in her titles, claims such as “10 trillion affirmations” or “50 trillion affirmations.” From a practical perspective, this seems unrealistic.
Even writing or copying a million affirmations would take an enormous amount of time and effort. Scaling that up to trillions becomes difficult to believe, especially when those affirmations are supposedly condensed into a short two-minute audio. Based on my own experience making personalized subliminals for myself, I understand the process to some extent. Because of that, these numbers appear more like marketing exaggeration than literal accuracy.
I’m not questioning whether her subliminals work. Many people report getting results, and I do believe that some users have had positive experiences. I have even used her content myself and seen some results. My concern is specifically about transparency and honesty in presentation.
When creators use exaggerated claims, it can create unrealistic expectations for people who are vulnerable or hopeful. Titles like these may give users false confidence that the subliminal is scientifically or technically more powerful simply because of the numbers attached to it.
Another factor for me is intuition. Over time, I’ve learned to trust my instincts when choosing subliminal creators. Sometimes I come across small channels with very few subscribers but still feel they are genuine and trustworthy. On the other hand, a large audience or many success comments do not automatically make a creator credible.
I’m not claiming that my intuition is proof, nor am I saying Valerie is a bad person. I’m only sharing my personal perspective and concerns as someone who has been in this community for years.
I’m open to hearing different opinions, and I’m not trying to start conflict. I simply believe it’s healthy for communities to discuss concerns respectfully and think critically rather than accepting everything at face value.
