We are still fairly new to Trap.

Is there any real difference between 7 1/2 and 8 shot? What about 1 1/8 and 1? What about 1145 and 1200?

Most coaches say no but i think they are speaking in context of a sub jr shooter. When i go to buy shells some are always out of stock and some are always in stock.

The team supplies are shell for practice and shoots but we seem to do better on caps when shooting AA, 1250, 1 1/8, 7 1/2.

We have state and nationals coming up and if something is worth an extra bird or two, I would like to upgrade him.

If it matters he shoots a al390 and normally shoots above 90 but we had to change stocks midseason and he dropped back to high 80s.
