So as mentioned in some of my previous posts, I believe my home health client Mrs H’s husband’s spirit is in the house. Mrs H has told my boss that she thinks her husband is there but she has never said anything to me. For context, the ghost is chill and seems to just be concerned about his wife and likes to watch how we take care of her. A previous caregiver has seen the shadowy figure at the top of the stairs several times, but no one else has. Everyone else including myself just hears sounds and senses paranormal activity. I hear things moving upstairs, hear voices whispering, and often feel a “static” feeling when I go to the bathroom which is underneath the staircase.

So I was back there for my shifts this week and some more interesting things happened. I found out that a caregiver was apparently fired for stealing from this woman’s house. She last worked last week. Last week I heard something heavy being dropped upstairs and a lot of other sounds including toilet flushes. Whenever something sketchy is going on like a caregiver is doing something wrong, there is a lot of paranormal activity. There’s unfortunately already been a couple caregivers taking advantage of this woman and I’ve noticed there’s a lot more paranormal activity when those workers are around and then things settle when they leave. If this other caregiver was fired for stealing, that explains the loud sounds last week. Monday night I was taking a cat nap and I hear a chair scoot and screech against the floor. Then I heard it again maybe 45 min later. It woke me right up both times.

This morning after Mrs H woke up I was sitting with her at the kitchen table and she said something about her husband so I asked how he passed away and she said he died in a hospice facility. And she said “he’s still here I know he is” and I said “yeah I think so too. I think I hear him upstairs and moving around.” She pointed to the middle chair at the kitchen table and said “he used to sit right there”. I just about gasped because I thought it so interesting considering my experience the previous night but I controlled myself because I didn’t want to startle her, and I just said “oh really? The other night I heard a chair scoot back” and she said “yeah he probably came down here because he didn’t want you to be alone; he was really nice”. I think it’s interesting that he’s getting closer to me.

I will point out again like i have before that I’m not scared of this ghost because he shows no ill intent. He seems to get angry when someone is doing something wrong but like, why wouldn’t he? He seems to care about his wife and when someone is doing something wrong it’s like he’s trying to get our attention.

I’ve pretty much let go of the suspicions of phrogging or squatting going on upstairs. I really do think it’s her husband’s ghost. I’m still pretty terrified about the past break-ins that she’s had tho and that someone might break in again on my shift. I found somewhere that will make a good hiding spot in the event of a break in and I have my taser so I feel pretty ok.

Hi, I’m a caregiver with just over 2 yrs experience and my goal is to become an LPN. I have worked in homecare for my entire career so far and also recently started a second job in a memory care group home. I might be losing my homecare job soon (I don’t want to go into detail). So I am trying to get things going to start my own private service on the side.

I am currently taking as many classes as I can in my free time to get as many certifications as possible, and after I move to a new apartment in a couple of months I am planning on looking into CNA programs. A coworker of mine who is an RN with 40+ yrs experience has been advising me how to start my own service since she is planning on doing the same. I have started designing some logs and records. I’m pretty “extra” and I like everything I use for work to be pink and blue lol. So I made this MAR.

I was taught a lot of things in the class that I am not sure how it would apply to homecare, and I plan on researching that or asking some of my colleagues for advice. As a private caregiver I would mostly be aiding people with their meds not necessarily making orders and calling their doctor. That’s usually handled by a family member or POA. I got the certification so that I can be covered administering meds since I had a previous client who declined so drastically he was not capable of putting his meds in his own mouth and it pretty much went from assisting to administering. I’m no longer with that client but I want to be covered so I took the class.

I just want an opinion on this log whether it covers enough. The one we used in the class had a section for the doctors information and other stuff like that. Is that a requirement for a MAR and should I add it in? I’ve seen some MAR books on Amazon and Etsy that do not have every detail that the one we used in class had. Also do I need that many “nurse signature” lines on the second page if this will be for my own private service records? 😅

I couldn’t get the entire page to fit on my laptop screen without zooming way out and making everything tiny. Also the pink block in the upper left corner is covering up my potential business name so just ignore that lol

I chose astral projection since there wasn’t many other options I felt were a good enough fit, but I have had several types of paranormal dreams. I originally joined this sub to post about the strange things happening at my job, and I’ve been reading and enjoying everyone else’s posts here, so I thought I’d share something more personal and share a couple “wild” dreams I’ve had.

The first one that stands out was when I was really little like maybe in kindergarten. I had a dream about two little girls with brown hair, wearing matching blue frilly dresses, barrets in their hair, white socks with Maryjane’s. They were sitting in a huge corridor or hall of some sort and all of a sudden a giant wave of “spaghetti sauce” came and swallowed them up (at least that’s what my five year old brain interpreted it as). The weird thing was they were sitting on chairs and when the wave came, all they did was lift up their feet as to let it flow underneath, when it was actually so huge it filled up the entire corridor and basically “swallowed” them. But somehow the girls weren’t anxious at all in fact they were super calm the whole time and just lifted their feet like nothing. I remember telling my mom about it that morning in the kitchen by the stove. She thought it was weird and didn’t seem all that interested. This dream has always stuck with me. Fast forward to a few years ago, I was up late with my roommate at the time, and we spent the whole night talking about dreams. We had both been listening to meditations and sleep hypnosis since my roommate was attempting to lucid dream. (I have actually had occasional lucid dreams my whole life and enjoyed “controlling” my dreams as a kid) I told her about this dream and her jaw just dropped. She told me about The Shining which I had never seen before. (I was raised in a cult where TV and movies were not allowed so I have not seen many popular films and shows). She pulled up a picture of the girls and they were exactly like the ones in my dream. The only times I saw TV or movies was at Dr’s offices, my grandparents house, or a cousins house. Usually it was Disney movies, sports, a random movie (never horror), or Disney channel. I asked my sister if we ever saw that movie at a relatives and she said no. I also asked my uncle if my grandparents watched horror movies and maybe had it on and he said they didn’t watch horror. I have no clue where I could have possibly seen the movie to dream about it later on, and I don’t remember seeing those girls ever before that dream.

Like I said I’ve always had occasional lucid dreams and not all of them stick with me. The next strange dream I’d like to share about was just a couple years ago. I switched careers in 2024 and started working in the homecare field as a caregiver. The first main client I was assigned to was a family with elderly parents and a middle aged daughter. The father had a very unique case of dementia and the daughter was somewhat difficult to get along with for most people and I ended up being a really good fit and we got along great. We had a lot in common and even had a couple mutual friends. Within just a few weeks she started playfully flirting with me. Things never crossed serious boundaries it was just playful (until the end where she got completely out of line and I asked to get reassigned but that’s a different story lol). Anyhoo things were playful and friendly between us and within a couple of months she had to travel for work. There was another main caregiver who was also out of town at the same time so my agency sent a bunch of staff who were not as familiar with the father so I was asked to work majority of the shifts. The daughter told me since I was working so much and long days if I was really tired, to lay down on the couch in her dads bedroom so that I’m close and can hear him if I want to take a nap while he naps. So one mid morning I was napping on the couch and I had a really strange dream. I had a dream that this woman and I walked into a dim dark building, it was a narrow hallway then opened up into a bigger space. There was only natural light and the back wall was open like you could see outside. I thought it was some rundown building with the back wall destroyed. In the open space there was an outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub. We were both in the hot tub well… I’m sure you can imagine lol. I honestly enjoyed that dream but I also had a small innocent crush on her as well. Well months later, her dog was very sick and she wanted to take him to the vet, so she asked if I was comfortable coming upstairs to hold him on a towel since he was kinda making a mess of himself, so she could get dressed. I walked into her room and couldn’t believe the set up. First of all, she had a whole half of the upstairs space walled off so her “room” was basically an apartment up there. The “bedroom” part of the room was actually an upstairs family room/loft, and her office and junk/storage room were the actual bedrooms. You walk in her door and it’s a hallway with her office room to the side. Past the office is the big open space. There was no hot tub, but she did have a bed and furniture, and the back wall was a huge sliding glass door to her balcony. Her bedroom light is not bright at all and her room is very dim. I realized that that’s the “building” where we were chillin in my dream. About a year later I was telling someone about this dream and they asked if I’ve ever had any other “astral projections” and that’s when I realized what it actually was. I had quite a few dreams about this woman tbh but none ever this vivid again. I will point out I’m also a woman, just cuz I tend to get “man” comments whenever I post about girls online lol
