I am working on an engineering-purpose numerical analysis software.

When I work with Opus 4.6, 4.7, and GPT 5.4, all of them were working not badly. Sometimes they failed, but if I iterated or tried with different models, then it was resolved.

5.5 gives quite a different experience. Currently working with xhigh, I requested lots of complex operations that would take more than a day of work with previous models, because it had lots of refactoring and test result analysis. 5.5 finished the job in just a few hours without failing. I know it is not the same work, so it would not be a proper comparison, but I feel 5.5 is much much better.
