Similarities between the sisters and katseye
‼️DISCLAIMER‼️ This is a re-upload of a post I made a couple months ago, I wanted to repost it so I can get new opinions on it as it seems this snark has a lot of new people now. The rules say no recent re-uploads, I’m not sure what counts as recent but this was a while back so hopefully it’s ok lol..
I saw a post on twitter calling katseye “baddie slop,” and while the term is a bit wild, it actually clicked for me once I sat with it. the core of the issue is that their whole "baddie" image feels entirely surface level. if you look past the edgy styling and the bold outfits, their music, public personas, and general energy don't really back up that "tough" or "rebellious" aesthetic. it feels like a forced, corporate version of confidence, basically a "baddie" starter pack designed specifically for pre-teen girls who are admire this style
the same logic definitely applies to the kalogeras sisters, who feel like the living embodiment of what a 12 year old girl thinks a "baddie" is. everything they do. the vulgar jokes, the skimpy outfits, the constant travel, it feels like a performance for the camera. It’s a very specific brand of curated rebellion that looks good in a ten second clip but feels incredibly hollow when you actually look for substance. It’s what i’d call a "fast-fashion" personality; it looks expensive and trendy from a distance, but it’s actually just a forced persona meant to capitalise on a specific aesthetic.
When you look at katseye’s and the kalogeras sisters’ fanbase they both attract the exact same demographic because of this image they have.
Even fans agree that the Kalogeras sisters seemed a lot more authentic back in 2024 when they had that “softer” look which just further supports my opinion.
