Pal rant (complaining and wall of text ahead)
So I'm still playing on the Feybreak client and haven't updated since for a reason I will explain later.
I'm gonna say this. I'm tired boss. I did beat the base game but and the boss of Sakurajima but... idk man. Gonna say this right now. I hate Feybreak. I hate everything about that god forsaken island. Ever since I discovered the gobfin strat, it made the game feel stale, and this was found discovered during my first playthrough where I called it quits and started over because of the janky balancing. Yeah watching my ragnahawk get one shotted by vaelet irked me so much. (Ragnahawk was 2 lvs higher btw) So I started it over and switched to gobfins. Was fun at first but got stale later.
Why did I switch? Mostly one thing in particular (and breeding). Boss dmg reduction. Still that mechanic to this very day. Them having access to their all their learned moves to their current lv was okay, but them being sponges was just annoying. Gobfins somewhat fixed which made me realize that that was a problem. Even more so when gobfin strat was near mandatory for the higher lv stuff. I don't want to play a glorified third person shooter. I want to fight with my monsters.
Speaking of dmg reduction... Did you know mobs around lv 50+ have like around 80% dmg reduction? Even more so the amount of dmg they can do to you. Especially human mobs with guns. Tried the lv 55 oil rig for the first time... The big fella merely glanced at me with the minigun. Shields broken and under half hp which felt like under 5 seconds.(3 Stronghold gobfins with green plasteel) I remember people hating the fact that your pals was not effective at taking on the rigs especially the lv 60 because they'd get smoked before they could do anything. On the Feybreak client at least. Did I tell you I hate Feybreak?
The other thing. Breeding. Idk how you fellas do it but you make the payoff look great. 500(0) eggs. A small price to pay to have an inbred demigod. And I don't really like that. Got my @$$ beat by that cheatin punk ah, raggedy ol loser Victor on hardmode. And it seems the viable method of approaching these roided up punks is by getting an inbred demigod. I hate hardmode bosses. They just scale them to max lv, give them like a million hp, and give them a combo of the most annoying (and bugged) moves to deal with for reason what so ever. In Feybreak client at least.
Why still on Feybreak? Well I want to know if some of the issues have been fixed. bugged unavoidable moves. The scaling. feybreak warriors actually dropping something useful instead of giving me pocket change that doesn't make up the cost of ammo trying to deal with them. Ammo. Neglected early pals. gobfin strat. and probably a few more. But there is another thing.
Legendary fights are so ahh bruh. Don't get me wrong. They need to be strong, yes, but bruh come on. Give them a proper arena to fight them in. Frostallion, Jetragon, and Paladius kinda sucks to fight. Necromus is a different story though. They work, if fighting them without Paladius but they work. The others are just plain annoying. Can't see frostallions moves + blizzard spikes hurr durr, the terrain in jetragon's area is mostly uneven and meteorrain is a capable of instagibbing you because that, and some of paladius's moves can be hard to see, that and their "armor". God help you if they use holyburst and you on a slope. Necromus is fine out of all of them. Their moves are clearly visible, telegraphed, and can avoided fairly... In the Feybreak client at least. This and I'm not fighting a lv 65 scaled up sponge that drops lv 50 blueprints and their field stat doesn't translate to their captured stats.
So feel free to mass downvote like everyone does on my posts and tell me that I'm bad and need to lock in and I'm not putting in the time. 400+h isn't enough I guess. And peeps are saying the one of the devs suggest starting from scratch in the new update. I hate Feybreak island. Bjorn and Bastigor can have that shihole. But for now, is it worth updating to the current client??
