Chrons / IBD / Lymphoma concern
Hi, wanted to know if any Chrons/IBD/ and or Lymphoma patients have any thoughts on this - or any patients have been wrongly diagnosed with Chrons first only later to find out it was a lymphoma.
I was doing totally fine then 6 wks ago presented with nausea, constipation, fever, chills and severe aches. went to the ER after three days, they thought for sure appendicitis, they did a CT scan and found 40cm circumferntial marked thickening of terminal eleum. I was having a few fevers low grade, then one that hit 102F. Had some pretty crazy rigors (shakes) too. We did a colonscopy shortly after and doctor couldn't get into the terminal eleum because so inflamed. So they started me on prednisone, which has been for 3wks at 40mg (losing my mind lol) and remicade started last week. I was supposed to do MRIs yesterday and they sent me to wrong center.
I will say though - my fevers, and night sweats (which btw anyoen else get these? not full drenching but like face, neck, hair, sometimes shirt wet) mostly stopped on prednisone, but are happening again now even though I'm on 35mg daily.
My bowel movements are still totally messed up - I'm very constipated even on prednisone.
I have a slight paranoia this is a quiet lymphoma since no one's been able to look at my bowel either via colonoscopy or MRI imaging. CT scan showed no obvious signs of a lymphoma though (the one taken at ER).
Any thoughts or stories welcome
