I have a 15 year old chow mix that has always been 100% chow with her temperament and personality- stoic, fiercely loyal to me, my shadow. She has been dealing with IVDD and as she requires more help she absolutely hates it. She refused to use dog stairs until she absolutely had to, insists on keeping an eye on me even if she’s practically dragging herself room to room, refuses to show pain.

Beyond her mobility issues she is healthy as a horse, but she is way too proud to accept help (carrying her outside, riding in a wagon, locking her in a safe area of the house while I’m not home) any other senior chow parents with similar issues/advice?
