Last month I did registered Agreement of Sale for a property in George Town. Buying price is 1 CR.
So, In agreement of sale, we paid 1L as token money. And 2L as stamp charges.
Now, registration fee is charged of 50K.

Lawyer told that stamp charges will be adjusted in the final sale deed.
and registration fee is not redeemable.
And in sale deed I need to pay 1L i.e 1% of 1Cr as registration fee.

Can any one tell me if this is genuine or I am scammed?
I am not able to find why this 50K is charged.
Please help.
