1 month post-op at BT - rhinoplasty and 2-point facial contouring

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/KoreaPlasticSurgery/s/rPQraJl9mJ

TLDR: I am starting to like my results despite being a bit bruised and swollen still and I think the doctors at BT did a good job. I would ultimately recommend BT but if you care about personalized post-op care then maybe not or maybe you have to just make sure you are vocal about your expectations for after care. They also ghosted me lol.

3 week update:
- I am starting to notice that the swelling has decreased alot for both my nose and jaw BUT I am definitely still swollen
- I feel like my nose tip looks too big still from the front view and slightly too upturned but I am trying to be patient
- I'M STILL MF BRUISED WTF AND MY NECK IS TOO but it's definitely slowly fading
- I get random tingling sensations in my jaw and sometimes slight fleeting sensations of pain in both my nose and jaw when I'm talking or laughing
- When I laughed or talked for extended periods of time (1+ hour) I'd feel alot of soreness in my jaw - like it would hurt
- I still can't open my mouth wide enough and I still can't smile or talk properly I feel like I'm talking with a lisp
- My jaw and nose is still numb
- I am noticing ALOT of blackheads and 2 whiteheads on my nose and the pores are huge both on my nose but also around and under my nostrils - this is very concerning because I usually have very clear skin but now it's really bothering me
- Christine reached out after seeing my original Reddit/Purse Forum post and I thought she wanted to reconcile things but she left me on read after I responded to her which is disappointing because I have friends who want to do a consultation at BT and are now a bit wary
- Still get food stuck in my mouth when I eat and I still have to chew carefully and cut my food into small pieces ugh

4 week update:
- The bruising has finally become faint BUT there's still green-yellow patches on my face and neck ... I think it will completely go away at the 5 week mark
- I'm still pretty sniffly and my nose will leak randomly
- Blackheads and enlarged pores on and around my nose are still very prevalent
- I can now open my mouth 3 fingers wide and I can talk normally now but when I smile or laugh it looks so awkward and I can eat bigger bites of food now but it still gets stuck in the pockets of my mouth BUT I have noticed there's less food bits being stuck
- I haven't noticed much difference in the swelling when I look in the mirror but several of my friends have commented that the swelling has significantly gone down from week 3 to week 4 - I definitely still feel swollen though
- I don't like how my lips look thinner than before but I assume this has to be due to the swelling?
- I'm sure to anyone else though, they'd probably think I'm not swollen
- I feel like I'm starting to look more like my normal self but better
- My nose tip still looks really swollen and I know it takes the longest to deswell (1 year+) so I'm trying not to judge the results yet - I am starting to really like it from the side though BUT AHH IT JUST LOOKS BIGGER THAN MY BEFORE NOSE SOMETIMES
- Jaw still numb and get random tingling sensations sometimes
- Nose still numb and accidentally bumped it twice hopefully that's fine

VERY DETAILED SURGERY DIARY AT BT PLASTIC SURGERY

It exceeded Reddit character limit so see full post here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/very-detailed-2-week-diary-at-bt-plastic-surgery-rhinoplasty-and-facial-contouring.1082199/

What I got done:
Non-implant donor rib cartilage tip plasty, osteotomy, hump reduction, and bulbous tip correction + 2 point facial contouring (genioplasty and mandibular angle reduction)

NOTE: I am only 2 weeks post-op. It's too early for me to say if I like my results yet because I am still swollen and bruised. I will update over the next couple of months ~

TLDR: I had a great consultation at BT, but the post-op communication/care wasn't exactly what I thought it would be like based on other people’s reviews. Yes, all my needs were taken care of, but it was with a curtness that I didn’t expect since during my consultation I felt alot of warmth and care. I read a comment somewhere that this is just how the clinics in Korea operate, but not sure how true that is. I also had a really hard time during my initial days of recovery - it was VERY PAINFUL for me and I was unbearably uncomfortable / would get random shots of pain in my nose and jaw during those initial post-op days and was feeling extremely depressed since I couldn’t breathe out of my nose, couldn’t eat or drink well, and was constantly drooling since I couldn’t close my mouth properly or open it properly. I also had a horrendous cough and sore throat and was hacking up mucus. I would get random tingling sensations in my jaw. Post-op, food constantly gets stuck in the pockets of my mouth and my jaw feels wired shut in a way I didn’t expect. My nose is also still stuffy and although I can breathe out of my nose, it’s like heavy breathing. Again, I am only 2 weeks post-op so perhaps this will get better over time. PLEASE MENTALLY PREPARE YOURSELF - IT WAS NOT EASY AT ALL AND WAS EXTREMELY PAINFUL. (I did have a slight cold pre-op so that may be why my post-op was worse and I also have a low pain tolerance).
