hello friends, im planning a route from karakol to Almaty over in Kazakstan, im thinking about seeing a few attraction (i.e. kolsai/big almaty lake etc) along the route so that i dont have to go to almaty then set off again. Is it a good idea or is it just better to go straight to almaty first? thank you

would very much welcome anyone who did the same route to share if something worth seeing.
