Feeling lost career wise, can anyone give good advice?
I'm in my early 30s in Dublin at a massive loss at what to do. I changed jobs recently and its really not what I thought the role was, the people are very nice but the workload is completely unsustainable and I have no downtime after work to switch off. I make around 45000 a year.
I have around 5-6 years experience in commercial law as a legal executive and compliance and im now in a back office finance role. I prefer working with numbers than the compliance role but the intensity is making me really question my decision.
I know the obvious answer is to upskill but im currently unable with the workload to manage both.
I'm looking for a role that I can head back to cork in a few years so I can't overtly specialise in and would ideally like a role I can do back there.
I'm after something that pays fairly well and allows me to live a normal life without grinding me down.
I'm most interested and think my skills could translate to property/financial services/risk but im open to any suggestions at this point.
Any advice on what routes I should go for?
