▲ 6 r/keto

My doctor has been pushing statins as my cholesterol is very high. Started walking more and raised HDL and lowered triglycerides to normal. I started keto and IF in January and have lost 35 lbs. to date. I feel so GOOD! I just had more extensive blood/lipid work done last week and my LDL was off the charts! It had already been high but this coupled with the discovery of high lipoproteins an and b feel like I need to stop keto and IM SO BUMMED!! I’m 70 years old F and was obese for 35 of those years. I can see light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve been meticulous. My A1C is 47 and mean glucose 88. All that success since January. I’m scared of statins, all medication really. I’ll take them if I can be convinced I need them. How do I do that?!?
