Rather than bring the French press plunger I got for my pot at the thrift store, or using the pop-up pour over gadget, this time I tried instant coffee.

Asian instant coffee is 100 years ahead of American. These were DELIGHTFUL at least as coffee for someone who hasn't until recently really drank a lot of coffee, and wasn't really won over by black coffee. They even kicked up a delightful "crema" or crema analogue. One stick for a small cup, two for a big western mug

I'm drinking them all the time now, not just on trail

Check your local Asian grocery store.

Sorry for the awful pictures, my camera lens is cracked and needs repair, so taking decent pictures is very difficult
