Feels a bit BS to call it a study break when we only get one actual day off.

Basically the title, I've been used to no fall reading breaks anyways by now but felt like ranting amid midterm season. The linc dates try to make it sound like some extended week by defining it as a break starting from "the end of classes on Oct. 9th till the start of classes Oct. 14th." Okay, so neither of those days are a actually off, the next two days are a weekend, and monday is a stat holiday. Why not just say that classes are off for the 13th? I'll get no more studying than usual done with this type of break. Are teachers not allowed to have anything due during the period and that's kind of it? Is it just unlucky how the week fell this year for those days? Surely they'd adjust...
