It doesn’t matter what we search, we can’t find any posts about anyone that is both;
- A first home buyer
AND
- Purchased an acreage with a home on it
Surely we can’t be the first to do this… we just want to hear how it went for others…
Our homeloan is being processed now by NAB (We must use NAB due to the schemes we’re using), the property is 10 acres, has mains electric and water, is 8 minutes from a town of approx. 8000 and an hour from Ballarat. And there’s already a home on the property — But we can’t find ANYWHERE anyone doing the same so can’t read how that went… especially being first home buyers using the 5% deposit scheme…
We’re awaiting the evaluation to be done and hopefully say the property is residential - if it’s rural (it is currently zoned RURAL by VICPLAN too) we can’t get it with the 10% deposit which is why we’re asking
