I female early 20s, am quite anxious and nervous about booking a gyno appointment again and have been procrastinating it for some time now. It’s been about a year or so since I last went for an issue regarding a vaginal tear. During my appointment I had some questions about the possibility of the tear being torn again during sex. I was told something along the lines of
“it would be a possibility because you are tight.”

Mind you he had already called my vagina tight at the start of the exam. Now I will be honest in saying I can’t remember the exact phrasing but i remember this 50 something year old man inspecting me saying I was tight 3 times during my whole appointment.

The problem is I live in a small town with one or two gynecologist offices, I usually see the women doctor but if she is gone that day unexpectedly I have to see the male doctor without any heads up. I do have the option to not see him at that point but then I’m waiting another 3-4 months to get an appointment again.

My question is am I over reacting, is that a normal thing to say to a younger patient. Is there a more appropriate wording here could have used like tense muscles.
