Neck Sensitivity
I will start by saying I had a history of eczema during my childhood. It’s gotten better with age (I’m 26 now), but whatever I apply to my neck causes some sort of redness, dryness and irritation. The only thing that works is moisturiser and ONLY rinsing with water. When I do this, everything seems to go away and my neck is smooth and soft.
The problem is, I use sunscreen and of course I have to apply it to my neck. However, to get the sunscreen off, I have to double-cleanse and that causes the redness, dryness and irritation to come back. Even on days where I only wash my neck with a water-based cleanser, no sunscreen, the same thing happens and my neck reacts.
I previously used Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (non-foaming) and switched to Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser, which is much better for my face, but nothing helps when it comes to my neck.
If anyone has experienced this, I’d truly appreciate any advice or suggestions you may have.
