No AC internationally?

I work at Uniqlo (US) and have been calling out because of the massive heat wave that we are getting which is supposed to be the highest temps we’ve had in over a decade.

My store rarely has working AC and uses large fans to basically blow hot air around the two floors—the second floor obviously being MUCH hotter than the first.

I enjoy working at Uniqlo most of the time but lately, it feels really unethical and toxic—which is crazy because it goes directly against their values.

I’ve also seen a post from a Canada employee about the EXACT SAME situation, and in France, they’re currently striking because of—YOU GUESSED IT—no AC and labor conditions.

Is there anything employees can do about this? It’s getting out of hand and I’m basically using all my sick hours to make sure I don’t get ACTUALLY sick and die on the floor.
