So I am 56F, and had my second ohs for an aortic valve replacement (mechanical) and I am frustrated that I am still in pain, tired, and having palpitations. The literature said I would be able to do more between 4-6 weeks, but it seems like its healing slower than it should be. I am sure I dont have complications such as infections, etc. It just seems like its slow to heal- maybe i am just impatient? Im walking and following the guidelines of not straining by lifting too much, etc, but idk, I assumed it would be almost healed by now. So today I threw a mini pity party for 1, and hope tomorrow I wake with a better attitude, lol. Anyone else go through this?
