Reservation relocation USA
Hi, few months ago we made a reservation in hotel via Booking. Yesterday we received text via Whatsapp that our hotel burned down (I found one news outlet proving that) and that we will be relocated into other hotel. I asked for new reservation confirmation and they send me email with invoice for this new reservation and when i asked they said that everything is covered. Im scared that this new reservation is not real and they try to scam us - is invoice enough to believe that our reservation is real? I contacted new hotel about it but they have not answered yet. Has anyone had similar situation?
Im concerned because it was settled via Whatsapp and not any official outlet like Booking, is it common thing in USA to handle sitiation like this via Whatsapp?
