What’s up with daycares in Daphne? Any recommendations?

We moved here from the Metro Atlanta area a couple of months ago. We had the best daycare there and it’s been really tough adjusting here. I currently have my 14-month old enrolled in a church daycare, which is fine. It works but isn’t up to the standard of our previous daycare. Our baby was taken off the waitlist for a major chain daycare, but after doing more research, uncovering a lawsuit, and seeing evaluations from AL Human Resources website, we decided to not move forward. At this point, we’re okay with putting our baby on a years long waitlist if it’s the best option.

Are there any recommendations for a daycare here? Here‘s a shortlist of our values:

  • Safe, cleannnnn, well-lit environment
  • Staff with a background in early child education and CPR certifications
  • Age appropriate “curriculum”
  • Healthy meals provided
  • Would love to have regular crafts and shared photos throughout the day, but that’s not required
