First scope! 5" Bresser dob, 130/650 f5

So most of the recomendations for a first scope make sense, newt dob, makes it easy to use and point. I watched a setup video on a EQ mount and while i appreciate what it that they do, i couldnt see myself setting that up, especially bringing my 6yo son.

Skywatcher collapsibles seem to be recomended all over but i couldnt bare the "flimsy" extension which is made doubly worse by the scew focus.

So i found a bresser tube, same fstop but solid tube and rack-pinion focuser.

It comes with kellner eyepieces, 25mm and 9 mm. Kellners are supposed to be decent but plössls are the final boss.

I asked my son and he would prefer to "see more stars, clusters and nebulas" i explained the qhole EQ mount and why watching a plannet with f5 makes for a small exit pupil at the required zoom. Plus we live in 7-8 bortle area so the whole zoom thing migjt not be realistic anyway.

So, a good 32 mm plössl will give us a pupil of about 6.5mm and a zoom slightly over 20. Does that seem reasonable as a first "good eyepiece" for watching a "starrier sky"?

I believe the included 9mm kellner will give around 70 zoom last i calculated and while our scope is a "quick light bucket" i doubt we can get much further in our typical conditions.

I had a look at sv135 7-21mm and the reviews are good but i somehow dont belive there is a magic "one great first eyepiece"

I would much prefer to have great quality at higher fov and dont care so much about max zoom. The typical formulas for our scope takes the max useful zoom to 260 but if we are being realistic we will get nothing but fuzz and shake, if we even manage to stabilise for anything we actually aim for.

Thoughts, advice and help will be appreciated.

Scope arrives in about a month. I will order a chechire cullimator with any recomended eyepiece.
