Here’s what it looks like.

there used to be a small sub panel here that was very not right (unprotected nm coming out of the box going to flood lights). I’ve since removed all that, and the upstream feeder is not connected anymore, so this is no longer functional and can be removed.

However, the sub panel was mounted in a way that the siding rotted pretty bad. what’s the best way to chop this out? just take a square out, z flash on top and bottom when putting a new piece in, and caulk the sides?
