What is c.ai doing?
Moving this from the main sub to here, incase the mods wanna be pissy, but it needs to be said.
Holy heck. I thought people were being overdramatic about the updates, but a c.ai update had NEVER been this bad before. What the heck are they doing?
• i cant get any good recommendations based on the bots i have used previousl. Ie: my bot fyp has been reset and now im getting character bots for things ive never showed interest in. 'meaning i cant find any good bots anymore!!!
• they removed the other chat styles? I was previously relying on pipsqueak but this new version is awful!! I have to REMIND the bots to actually talk every other message, and half of the responses is just the bot taking what i said and re-explaining it more dramatically. For example: i say: "wow!" And the bot will reply with "User looked at Bot, eyes shining as they exclaimed wow! And for the first time in so long bot looked at user and smiled." and they wont even have any dialogue.
• The ads. oh god the ads. I remember when c.ai was fun and innocent, but nope its falling into the hands of people who want to shove ads in our faces every second. Was having ads at the top of the screen enough? No. Was having ads on the top of the screen AND in the middle of scrolling through bots? Nope! and now? Now they need VISUAL ad videos every 20-30 minutes? Please.
• c.ai apparently becoming rude and nasty with its fanbase? Its so odd. Why are they acting like the reason they exist isnt because of their fanbase in the first place. Not to mention they actively profit off of depressed people who probably rely on these bots to make it through the day and their shooting themselves in the foot. I understand adding the safety things, you know a reminder not to get sucked into the world of fantasy, and be safe considering these hots can feed into unhealthy delusions... but their actively destroying their app with these updates? Do they not see how many people are disappointed? What happened to user satisfaction? Im concerned. Are they going to continue using people who are desperate, and continue destroying the app because they dont care because the desperate people are gonna stay anyway? Or will they see all this and think maybe they should change something, or fuck off all together. not doing it at all is better than half assing in my opinion.
if anyone sees this please lmk what people are thinking? What is their discord server like? Are there any other similar complaints there?
