Starting Minox after 10 years of Finas
I'm 29.
I've been using finasteride 5 mg every 2–3 weeks for around 10 years now. Zero side effects and honestly very satisfied with the treatment — my hair loss completely stabilized.
My crown was thinning, and the moment I noticed recession in the front, I jumped on finasteride. Over time, I reduced the dosage to the point where during most of my college years I was taking one 5 mg pill every 3 weeks, with no noticeable hair loss whatsoever.
That said, my crown never fully recovered its original density, and because I practice jiu-jitsu and have very long hair, I also lost some hair in the front from traction (we were basically animals fighting lol).
I started topical minoxidil almost 1 month ago to see if I can regrow some density in the crown and maybe improve the front a bit. Honestly, I think part of the traction zone may be gone for good, but we'll see.
Every Sunday I use a dermastamp, and twice a week I apply rosemary oil to the scalp.
Since all my hair loss has been stable for years, I still have hope for some regrowth.
Any suggestions?
I'll update with photos in the next few weeks.
