UK pilots - How is your medical certificate issued?

Hi,

I know this isn’t a strictly aviation question but I can’t find a clear answer from the CAA and the Cellma portal is probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen, and I figured you guys would have the answer.

I’d applied for a Class 3 medical, but following my initial medical exam my case needed to be referred to the CAA for a decision. I’ve checked on cellma and it appears that as of yesterday I was deemed “fit” however I’ve had no notification of this from the CAA nor how I will actually receive the certificate.

I assume the process is essentially the same as for class 1.

Do they post it to you or should I be expecting an email?
