New battery pack?

My dad found this flashlight some time ago. He threw away the batterypack after we found out we needed a special charger for it. The pack consisted of two 18650 batteries stacked upon each other. Both the negative and positive terminal needs to reach the end of the light as there is a positive and two negative (i would assume the middle is positive) terminals down there. The tailcap has a plastic piece seperating it from the batteries. Can I just put the batteries end to end and make something that goes down from the negative on the battery and tuches the negative post down in the tube, or do I need to seperate the batteries and do it seperatly for each?
(This is not my field, so i have minimal knowledge)

(🫘) S7 with different reflectors

S7 B35AM 3500K
Recently got this light and was a little unhappy with the beam i got in the original reflector. This reflector is really good, i enjoy it in my throwers. But for the uses i had in mind with this light, it was not what k was after. Also there was a lot of artifacts with the B35AM. Anyway, i have a T4, and i remembered that it uses the S2+ reflector. I switched that one over on my S7 and like the beam much better! Worth noting is that this is a SMO reflector.

Edit:
Also, changing the reflector only does work but the battery sits pretty loose. It i bump the back it disconnects the contact. I will fix this by outting in a S2+ pill, which is a lot longer than what comes stock in the S7. That will make up for the space lost with a shorter reflector.

(🫘) S7 B35AM, S8 SFT42-R, T4 SFT25-R

S7 B35AM 3500K (N41)
S8 SFT42-R 6500K 10A Buck (P30B)
T4 SFT25-R 6500K (NiMh)

Look away from the clour temperatures (apart from last picture, this is almost exactly matching the clour of the B35AM). But the beams and percived light ouput are almost how I see then in real life (exept last image of T4 which is a tuch too bright).

(NLD) A lot of new stuff

First of all I got my second Convoy order!
- S7 B35AM 3500K (EDC)
- S8 SFT42-R 6500K (Tactical)
- S8 SFT42-R 6500K (Tactical)
- T4 SFT25-R 6500K (Vehicle EDC)
+ a lot of accessories for these and some other lights

Love the S7! Beautiful host with a gorgeous emitter! This one was meant for EDC and I will most likely modify it with a TIR soon as this beam is a little too narrow for my liking. But looking away from that, I love this combo!

The two S8’s are for when I know im gonna be walking around the city late at night. Got another one for either family or friends. Also asked Simon for forward-clicky on these which I ended up loving so much that most of my Convoys probably will end up with them!

The T4 is meant for a vehicle emergency light. Probably gonna out some litium primary’s inside and let it sit in the car. Found out I loved this formfactor so much that I will probably get one for EDC!

This was where this post was going to end, but then I found some old MagLite’s! Remember these from when I was young! The S7 looks really much like them in the beam! The T4 is almost identical in form factor. Only got one of them working as of now but I will try to get those others to work too!

Beams will be coming later probably!

What would be the best high output high cri emitter with good runtimes?
Runtimes and stable output is a higher priority than maximum output for a while.

Will be used outdoors, so my question is if the sacrifice in output for a high cri emitter would be so big that I should go for the LHP73B instead. (I would really enjoy some high cri tho:)

Also, bonus question:
- how is the waterproofness with Convoy side-switch lights aswell as in the TIR lens?
- I’ve read about longevity issues with Convoys side switches, is this a usual occurrence or something I picked up from one incident?

Title kinda says it
But my grandparents wanted a light after I showed them my M21B LHP73B and wanted the same😎
My thought is that it is a little too complicated and too hot. Also no usb-c.

I want to give them something safe, but still a wow factor. Easy UI and USB-C.
Good tint and cri, and also a warm cct like the good old lights.

My thoughts are:
- Sofirn SC33
- Convoy M21H

I know the SC33 is not a warm cct light aswell as low cri but I imagne the UI to be good.
How does Convoy side buttons fair when it comes to easy UI?
