LVP Damaged: replace or fill
Hired a contractor out for a bathroom addition. Flooring was done today with LVP. A couple minutes after the flooring workers left I went down to vacuum. Noticed about a 1 inch gash in the middle of one of the planks. It is about 1 foot away from the wall where the vanity will sit. The vanity is on raised 4” legs.
Do I ask the contractor to ask the flooring workers to take out some of the planks and replace it or fill it with some sort of wood filler?
I don’t know how they didn’t notice it. Maybe they did and assumed our vanity would be sitting in the flooring so it wouldn’t actually matter. But it just seems like a decently big screw up and it doesn’t feel right for them to suggest I just fill it in. I’m paying for a brand new bathroom and I don’t want it to start out being damaged.
