So I made the switch and I do love my Kobo Libra Colour but I do I have to say I should have been better about my research. Two big drawbacks for me:
having multiple library cards doesn't work (or at least is a super hassle I haven't been able to conquer.) I hardly ever purchase books, 95% of what I read is borrowed from libraries. The Kindle/Libby integration was pretty seamless. I seem to be only able to borrow books from one library on my Kobo unless I jump through hoops. That's a big limitation for me.
inability to share books within family. Otherwise, I've been pretty happy. The UI is much snappier, WiFi set up worked perfectly, really liking the notebooks I can create.
Here's to hoping those issues improve in the future.
