My mother passed away last month. She's originally from Portugal and lived in Germany for over 30 years. There was no family to pay for the funeral so the state has paid for it. As my mum gave me up for adoption when I was only a baby they can't ask me to pay for it but I'd like to know if there's a way to find out where her body is now? I'm using they would cremate. Contacted the state of Bunde and they won't tell me where she is. So my question is if there's a way to find out where she is? Or am I wasting my time looking? I know Germans are big on privacy 😐
