MMC and FMC Living Separately After Misunderstandings
I HATE when authors "separate" the characters later on in the book, especially after silly misunderstandings, or when they both want each other still but haven't admitted it. The last two books I read had this, and it just turns me off of the book altogether. First was {Portrait of a Scotsman by Evie Dunmore}, and the second was {Grace by Beverly Watts}.
The first one >!FMC blindsided MMC after everything seems to be good between them. And takes off for 6 months having a tantrum. It seemed so unnecessary. !<
The second one >!was 3 months of them living separately, but it was because they wouldn't admit how much they meant to one another, and were both miserable the whole time. !<
I know everyone ends up with their HEA , but ugh. So annoying!
