Need advice from people who’ve been on isotretinoin + birth control for acne
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice/experiences from people who’ve gone through something similar.
I’ve been on Isotretinoin for about 72 days (~2.5 months) now. I started on 20 mg for the first 5 weeks, and then my dermatologist increased me to 30 mg, which I’m still on.
About 3 weeks ago, after some tests including an ultrasound, my gynecologist started me on Diane-35 for acne/hormonal support. I’ve been taking it for about 2 weeks now.
The thing is… my acne still doesn’t seem to be improving much. I’m still getting painful deep breakouts/nodules, and it’s honestly making me worry.
Has anyone here taken isotretinoin + Diane-35 (or another birth control pill) and still purged/broke out at this stage? How long did it take before you started seeing real improvement? Did nodules eventually stop?
