I have a 14 year old Shih Tzu mix who’s been eating the same chicken based dog food for a couple years now with no issues. However, my 14 week old goldendoodle has a chicken allergy and will not stop eating my senior dog’s food (she’s an incredibly slow eater, eats infrequently when I put her dish down and sometimes I get distracted during feedings and forget about her food dish). Would it be the worst idea to change my older dog to salmon dog food just so my puppy doesn’t get dosed with chicken? If this is a dumb idea, what are some tips to keep my puppy away from the dang chicken?
