Overwhelmed and not sure what to do.
So i just started in the deli. my first day was amazing i was working closing and my coworkers walked me through some things. (i got onto the floor like 1/2 through my shift cus of the ulearn things). then on my second day, my first full shift on the floor and my first ever 8 hour shift. (this is also my first ever job). it went horrible. i dont know anything, no one explained anything to me, i got put on the hot bar with very little knowledge. i worked the hot bar for a while to the best of my ability. then my team lead had me go do dishes. which i only semi know how they want me to do it. i was on dishes for the rest of the night but was struggling to keep up. and we where short staffed cus someone called out and another went home sick (she ended up getting me sick). so we were very behind all night. my team lead ended up coming back and taking over the dishes after i nearly had a brake down. she had me go up front with my other coworker and help her. she also hardly told me things and i could tell everyone was frustrated. im worried that im not gonna get taught any of the things and just gonna hold the team back.
