I don’t think I ever heard someone in a normal conversation if a place it’s clean, I know kirei means clean, pretty, beautiful, and so I think it would be like “Is Toronto beautiful” and it’s not just this one but almost all places they give in sentences examples they say clean.

Is it because they di and ji sound the same? Some type of history lesson here?

How come sometimes it accepts kanji but sometimes it doesn’t? I put the kanji 水 (water) and it didn’t accept but a lot of the times I do put kanji and it does accept it
