I see a lot of posts on here with people boasting their Kef’s, Klipsch’s, B&W’s, etc and when I look at their pictures, they have an AVR receiver powering their setup. I’ve always been under the impression (and also with personal experience) that a dedicated amp/preamp is the way to go for a 2 channel setup. When I first got my Klipsch RF7’s I was powering them with a very nice Denon receiver and it sounded ok. When I finally bought a dedicated amp for them… holy 💩 It was a night and day difference. What are some your thoughts/ experiences with this??

I’m wondering if anyone has done an A/B comparison on a dedicated streaming device like a WiiM or Cambridge vs a regular iPad?? I’ve been streaming music to my vintage Yamaha setup with an iPad for years but I’m wondering if the quality of the dedicated streaming devices is any better???
