Will geico help me out? Not at fault
Was in a car accident July 1 on a busy highway, my partner was driving, I was passenger and sister was driver side passenger. We got hit on the rear tire driver side so technically my sister took most of the impact (thank god she good, little whiplash but good). The kid that hit us, swears up and down that someone hit him and then fled but I seen no damage besides where he hit us. Not sure if I believe that, i believe he was texting and driving and since we were in traffic, he was trying to avoid hitting one car and hit us. We ended up spinning out 180 to where we faced the opposite direction of traffic. There’s a police report and the highways in Colorado are fulls of cámaras.
My issue is this, I just got geico. July 1 was my 2nd month paying them. I have full coverage on the car because it was a brand new 2025 Honda civic, I haven’t even had the car for a year yet. It’s financed.
Another issue, my parter and I just moved in together. We haven’t combined anything yet so technically everything shows I’m still living with my parents but when they asked to talk to him, he said that I lived with him and when they asked if Im still at the address on file I said yes ( completely different)
I’m just worried they wouldn’t want to help me to the fullest and I have nothing to spear for a new car or even fixing this one. Haven’t heard back at all and we’re on day 4( I know 4th of July no one is getting contacted)
