Exclamation Points
Has anyone noticed an uptick in exclamation point use? I'm getting student requests for help in emails that involve a lot of them. I keep explaining that it's not wise to ask a favor from someone while you're yelling at them, but it seems like I'm the only person that seems to think that's what it means.
<insert Principal Skinner meme>
Am I wrong here or is there a culture shift? Same thing with dollar signs. Over the past year or so I noticed that people almost overnight started putting the dollar sign behind the number.
