"Jamesism" - Unexpected Rabbithole. Could this be a cult? Who am I even asking at this point, just see for yourselves.

Hi all, this is my first post in this community and has been made with a burner account. I am not affiliated with the individuals and organizations mentioned in this post in any way. Oh, and this information is all publicly available. I am extremely tired at the moment (thus the subpar formatting and somewhat scrambled writing) but I would like to very briefly present a very weird web ecosystem I discovered, and ask you... thoughts? What to make of it? It is all just so weird.

A random video was recommended to me by YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u94TRX3iS3g

titled "Jamesism look through". It refers to this (warning, NSFW content) https://jamesism.org/

website, the creator of which also has a personal website (warning, NSFW content - the moment you click, there is an image of a woman's buttocks and labia majora, with this James guy's eyes and eyebrows staring back at you?!):

https://www.jamesswank.org/

So, where to begin. As you may see from the video the website is formatted extremely strangely, there is talk of "Jamesism" as a religion, with ethical and practical texts on its principles, available for purchase online. These texts, or at least the excerpts, are also formatted very weirdly, with mismatched fonts and sizes, diagrams, colors, very tacky, written almost like a children's book. There is lots of talk about energy, love and sun/moon cycles. About the creator, there is a "james" section on the site where there is a short autobiography (containing nude photographs of them and describing (and showing) various sexual fantasies and generally... off-kilter behavior). The guy in the video had to censor some parts of the website. Honestly what I've said here doesn't mention a 10th of what I've seen, which is a minority of the site, so...

(Just see the vulva photoshops in the blog and the "boobies" video, which is some kind of adult baby fetish porn... thing?)

The "james" section redirects to the "jamesswank" website, which contains various suggestive 3d model animations as tacky music videos, some kind of seminars on the previous material, and lots of other things, most strikingly some videos with incomprehensible syllable names, which this man seems to repeat over and over again, lying flat on his bed, fully nude, but with heavy filters on so that the image is highly stylized. All the videos are obviously hosted on vimeo since the moderation appears more lax. He also makes music on Soundcloud which I don't dare listen to, and even has a "band":

https://www.youtube.com/@purrfucttheband9585

Aside from (maybe) the girl playing the violin, nobody seems to be playing anything, the music is probably made on some sort of software. It is very amateur and somewhat tacky work, and the subject matter is very sexually suggestive, in terms of lyrics, visuals with partial nudity on the channel pfp. Very weird.

Now, the same women from the band, including his wife decades his junior (who appears to hold legitimate employment, unlike "James") also run a "relationship coaching" business out of some house in Berlin, with "bodywork" for "shy men and women", and their facebook has somewhat sexually suggestive descriptions of services provided, but never something explicit. So, I don't know what they're doing in there. But again, it's weird.

And, there is also a space at the couple home for "performance art", "experiences" I don't even want to know honestly. It's advertised as nude- and sex- positive, with comfort in mind, lots of sexual language everywhere regarding this rabbithole.

All this activity is based in Berlin if I haven't mentioned it already.

Honestly, if they were just a bunch of sex-obsessed weirdos advertising sex parties for each other, or working at a brothel (in Germany prostitution is legal and regulated), outright, then OK. Or perhaps, some kind of very eccentric art project, many examples of that too.

But I can't help but feel like with the creepy "James" guy, the very cryptic but suggestive religious language everywhere, the fact that a (genuinely scary-looking!) old man appears to be so tightly bound up in the life of several young women, all seemingly in their 30s or so. I don't know, it's giving cult.

There is genuinely no other reference on the entire internet on this thing, so I thought I'd mention it here for people to look into it and give their feedback. I don't know if this is anything of not but I was very intrigued. I'm not planning on looking into it any further but I'm looking forward on what comes of this based on your responses.

Cheers!

P.S. Please do not harass the people/organizations involved here, as per the rules.
