All the images I’ve asked Gemini to generate in the last two hours have had a significant drop in resolution and file size. Usually, they are 2752 x 1536 at nearly 8MB, but now they’re only 1376 x 768 and around 2MB.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Gemini updates to make the system smarter and better understand user requests? No. Instead, Gemini forces users to provide extremely detailed prompts just for the system to get it. Just seeing the word 'create,' Gemini goes off and generates an image—even when I’ve explicitly stated from the start NOT to. Even when I chew it out, it keeps generating images, even if my rant doesn't mention anything about image generation. Are you guys stupid?
Gemini updates the system to stop formulaic responses and endless loops instead of actually reading the user's updated content? Not at all. Gemini’s response system is the most brain-dead thing I’ve ever seen, and I have to start a new chat instead of hoping Gemini will fix itself. Why?"
It would rather update its ability to argue with users than improve its understanding of what they're actually saying. The system is still incredibly dumb; even if I change how I ask, Gemini just keeps giving the same canned response.
Today I encountered an extremely stupid reason from the Gemini system admins: I cannot move a child from this image to another. The child is a preschooler.
