Making constant schedules on Adderall for ADHD but none actually get followed?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 21 a couple months ago and started medication. Since then, I keep making detailed weekly/daily schedules in Google Docs or planners. They calm me down when I'm stressed, but I almost never follow through on them. It's like I swung from total disorganization to needing everything perfectly planned—yet I still can't execute.

I also immediately jump on tasks for friends or family instead of waiting, even when they say they'll handle it. My schoolwork (summer classes) is still a struggle. This whole experience feels off and makes me wonder if the diagnosis or medication is the right fit.

Any thoughts or advice? It's all very new and confusing.
