Apurimac Adventures - Highly recommend!
Hey guys, just wanted to share a tour company recommendation for anyone planning a trip to Cusco/Machu Picchu. (This isn’t sponsored at all lol - we just had a really good time with them!)
My wife and I visited in mid-April and booked with Apurimac Adventures, a local tour company run by Juan and his family, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire Peru trip!
We did a 3-day private tour with Juan and his brother Christian and everything was organised so smoothly from start to finish. The tour included airport pickup, a guided one-day Inca Trail hike, train transfers, meals, a Sacred Valley tour and a Rainbow Mountain + ATV experience (they are very flexible to customising tours based on what you want).
Communication before the trip was also excellent compared to others - they handled all the logistics, tickets, transport, and timing which made everything stress-free for us.
What really stood out was how personal and relaxed everything felt. Compared to some of the larger tour groups we saw (which honestly looked pretty rushed and overcrowded), our experience felt flexible, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable. Juan and Christian were incredibly knowledgeable about the area, easy to spend time with, and clearly passionate about sharing their culture and home with tourists.
One thing I especially appreciated was that they’re a local family-run business, and you can genuinely feel how much they care about both their guests and the places they operate in. It was also very reasonably priced for the inclusions and a completely private tour relative to other quotes we received.
We’re really glad we chose them and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a more personalised Cusco/Machu Picchu experience. Hoping they continue to do well - they absolutely deserve it!!
