Scam on Superprof
Be careful on superprof, today I recieved an email stating that a student had paid upfront for a package of mine and I was happy. I never had a student book my lessons through the site before so I did not know what to expect.
Then they took me to this third party website (https://superprof.officialservice.ink/) and asked for my bank details - they only took revolut, monzo and one other bank. Once I inputted my revolut details which only had 1 pound in the account (lol), they stated I needed to have at least 280 pounds for anti fraud checkings. I added the 280 pounds and sent them my bank details (DO NOT DO THIS) and they tried to deduct 320 euros from my account and told me it was a "trial fee". Luckily I woke up and realised I was being stupid here and instantly transferred all my money back to my normal account and even froze my normal account.
Just be careful. If Superprof is asking to pay you through a special link or asks for all your card details including CVC, do not trust it. The website itself is not super well made, so the scam is just believable enough that it can trick people. Plz be careful and don't be silly like me. I have attached my messages with the "AI chatbot" who is obviously a person and the initial message I got from the account.
