Hi there-
I have a 10 year old daughter who has either sesamoiditis or a stress fracture in her sesamoid (the MRI showed an issue in the sesamoid bone (lit up like a christmas tree on MRI) and the doctor said it would be treated the same either way)
After no progress with no weight bearing for 3 weeks, the doctor put it in a cast for 3 weeks to see if it would help. Within the first 24 hours her pain level dropped from an 8 to a 6 which was huge. But a week in, we are at a steady 5. Still non weight bearing of course.
If you were in a cast for this issue, how long did it take you to be at a zero pain level? Or is that even achievable in a cast?
Thank you for any input anyone might have! She just wants to feel better!
