1 Week Post op for Umbilical laparoscopic hernia surgery

So far this first week has been rougher than I anticipated. I had a 4cm hernia that I got fixed after a few years. Getting up and down has been a struggle without big pains. I have been getting up walking around for an hour plus each day to avoid getting too tight and get everything circulating. Today I was finally feeling like I made a leap, feeling less pain and tried to be more independent with getting up and around to walk. And then just noticed an incision looks really angry. Not really any extra pain with it, I just don’t like how it looks. I have a message in to my surgeon waiting to hear back, but in the meantime thought I’d post here and see if anyone else has similar experiences or thoughts.
