i am feeling fearful about the vaginal stretching part of radiation treatment for anal cancer.
I 72F am already astounded to be in this spot. I was diagnosed after having a hemmarhoid removed on March 16.
Everything thing is just as good as it can be. No surprises on the PET scan. Early catch. No vaginal involvement by the tumor.
How does this part happen? Do you do it yourself?
I am all for preserving the equipment, but I am overwhelmed at the thought of spending 5 days a week for 6 weeks with everything hanging out, stretched out, and radiated.
My simulation is on Wednesday.
Thanks.
