I’m from NY and have my permit. In NY you must ride with a licensed rider within a 1/4 mile. I’ve been riding since April and try to ride with another rider when a friend is available. This doesn’t happen as often as I’d like and often will ride solo on back non busy roads. I plan to take the MSF course, but would like keep getting miles in the meantime. Do many of you newer riders out there ride with only your permit? Anyone have any advice? Just want to keep practicing and riding without getting ticketed.
