Tourist Visa Italy Embassy, Mumbai
Keeping it concise. We are two families (7 persons) scheduled to fly on 20/05. And here's the visa application timeline:
Booking Date: 12/04 (was planning to book in the last week of March, but due to medical urgency in the family we are travelling with, we were undecided. So we booked late)
Appointment Date: 29/04
Travel Date: 20/05 (Rescheduled from 21/05 by Etihad. Layover in Abu Dhabi)
Visa Status as of 14/05: Still under process 😞
I know we were late in applying. But our Schengen visas (the same two families) were processed in 5 days by the French Embassy in Mumbai in 2018. Also, we assumed less rush considering the US-Iran War. Now, we are stressed out.
Our tickets are confirmed and nonrefundable. Stay and attractions booked. Will have to start cancelling from tomorrow for a full refund. Wrote two emails to the embassy (last email screenshot attached). Got a two-word response "Well Noted" from the embassy yesterday. Still hopeful...
Will update if there is any progress. The next five days are going to be super chaotic.
